About the Artist
Since childhood Livia showed an extraordinary interest in drawing and painting. So much so that from the age of 14 she devoted herself to learning all she could about the intricacies of painting on canvas, with her favorite expression coming in portraitures.
Without attaining a formal art education, Livia is considered a master and is proud to claim herself among the self-taught. Through great effort and perseverance she passionately expresses shapes and colors onto canvas.
Livia has worked tirelessly to find her place among the many great artists in Brazil, both as student and since 1990, happily as teacher. She has had her work exhibited in private showings and in collaboration with her students.
The works of Livia Maria can be found in private collections in Brazil, the United States and Germany.
